It is the purpose of the IceCat Rep program to allow for the development of a hockey player to play at the highest level of competition at the caliber most suited to the individual hockey player’s abilities and desires.
Overview of the Goals and Objectives
A Development System to promote:
Hockey Skills (teaching the game)
Life Skills (community responsibility, leadership, teamwork, good character)
Social Skills (self esteem, communication, planning, prioritizing, fair treatment of others)
Work Ethic On Ice and Off ice development
A Team first vs. Player first environment
Playing Representative hockey requires ability, desire and a good attitude, but also a commitment to the team. The coaches, as selected by the Coaching Selection Committee and then affirmed by the Executive, are committed to be at both practices and games. The Clearview Girls Hockey Association, the coaching staffs and teammates, expect no less from each and every member of the team.
